A codified set of trade terms can provide clarity between buyer and seller, reducing misunderstandings that can hamper successful trade.

With this in mind, USFEC members collaborated to develop a set of trade rules to help facilitate contracts in the international forage industry. First adopted in May 2014, then updated in 201A copy of the most recent version of U.S. Forage Export Council Trade Terms is available here6 and again in 2020, the document includes definitions of key trade terms and serves as a voluntary reference for companies selling and buying forage.
